Method 1: Using an OBD-II scanner

1. Purchase an OBD-II scanner that is compatible with your Kia Sorento Prime.
2. Connect the scanner to your vehicle’s OBD-II port, which is usually located under the dashboard on the driver’s side.
3. Turn on the scanner and select the make, model and year of your Kia Sorento Prime.
4. Go to the “Transmission” or “Automatic Transmission” section.
5. Select the “Reset automatic transmission adaptation” function.
6. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen to complete the reset process.

Method 2: Power off

1. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Wait at least 15 minutes for the battery capacitor to discharge.
3. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
4. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
5. Shift the gear lever to all positions (P, R, N, D) several times.
6. Drive the car for a few minutes in different driving modes so that the automatic transmission can adapt to your driving style.

Note:

* After resetting the automatic transmission adaptation, it may take several days for the system to fully adapt and switch to optimal settings.
* Do not reset the automatic transmission adaptation too often, as this may lead to problems with gear shifting.
