Required tools and materials:
* Wrench set
* Head set
* Screwdriver
* Dipstick for automatic transmission
* New automatic transmission pan gasket
* New automatic transmission filter
* New seals (input and output shafts)
* Transmission fluid
Instructions:
1. Raise the car and secure it on stands.
2. Drain the transmission fluid. Unscrew the drain plug under the automatic transmission pan and drain the fluid into a container.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the pan to the gearbox and carefully separate it. Be careful as remaining transmission fluid may spill out.
4. Replace the automatic transmission pan gasket. Remove the old gasket and install a new one.
5. Disconnect the gear selector. Remove the protective cover and disconnect the gear shift rod from the gearbox.
6. Unscrew the bolts securing the seals. Typically this is four bolts for each seal.
7. Carefully remove the old seals. Use a screwdriver or special tool to remove the seals.
8. Clean the oil seal seats. Remove all dirt and oil from the oil seal seats.
9. Install new seals. Insert the new seals into the seats and lightly tap them in with a rubber hammer. Make sure the seals are installed correctly and that the protruding lip faces the inside of the transmission.
10. Tighten the bolts securing the seals. Tighten the bolts evenly and to the recommended torque.
11. Install the automatic transmission pan. Apply a small amount of sealant to the gasket surface and install the pan in place. Tighten the pan mounting bolts.
12. Install the automatic transmission filter. Remove the old filter and install the new one.
13. Connect the gear selector. Connect the gear shift rod to the selector and install the protective cover.
14. Fill with transmission fluid. Pour new transmission fluid into the transmission through the filler hole. Check the fluid level with the dipstick and add if necessary.
15. Lower the car. Start the engine and warm it up. Check the automatic transmission pan for leaks.
Notes:
* Make sure all necessary seals and gaskets are present.
* Be careful not to damage the oil seal seats when removing or installing.
*If you are unsure of your skills, consult a qualified mechanic.
* After replacing the seals, it is necessary to update the transmission fluid.
