Materials:
* New automatic transmission light bulb (usually W3W or T4.2)
Tools:
* Small flathead screwdriver
Steps:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent electric shock.
2. Find the automatic transmission control panel. It is usually located on the center console of the car.
3. Pry off the automatic transmission control panel with a flat-head screwdriver. Gently pull it up to release the latches.
4. Disconnect the power connector. Simply press the connector latch and pull it to disconnect.
5. Remove the automatic transmission light bulb. Grab the plastic base of the light bulb and pull it straight up.
6. Install a new light bulb. Insert the new light bulb into the socket so that the plastic pins fit into the corresponding holes.
7. Connect the power connector. Press the connector to secure it.
8. Place the automatic transmission control panel in place. Align the latches and press down on the panel to secure it into place.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
Adviсe:
* Use a bulb of the same type and wattage as the original one.
* If the new light bulb does not work, check the contacts in the socket for corrosion or dirt.
*Always disconnect the battery before performing any electrical work.
