Required tools:

* Wrench set
* Screwdriver
* OBD2 scanner (optional)

Replacement procedure:

1. Ensure safety: Set the vehicle’s parking brake and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the automatic transmission pan: Unscrew the bolts holding the automatic transmission pan and remove it, draining the transmission fluid into a container.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors: Disconnect all electrical connectors connected to the automatic transmission control unit.
4. Unscrew the mounting bolts: Unscrew the bolts holding the automatic transmission control unit in place. Usually there are four.
5. Pull out the control unit: Carefully pull the automatic transmission control unit out of the transmission.
6. Connect the new control unit: Connect the new control unit to the transmission and tighten the mounting bolts.
7. Connect electrical connectors: Connect all electrical connectors to the new automatic transmission control unit.
8. Fill with transmission fluid: Fill the transmission with transmission fluid, checking the level on the dipstick.
9. Connect the battery: Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
10. Clear Trouble Codes: Use an OBD2 scanner (if equipped) to clear any stored trouble codes.
11. Check operation: Start the engine and check the operation of the automatic transmission, shifting it through all gears. If problems occur, contact a qualified mechanic.

Notes:

*Always use the transmission fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
*If you are inexperienced with transmission work, it is recommended that you take it to a qualified mechanic.
* After replacing the automatic transmission control unit, it may require some learning time before the automatic transmission operates normally.
