Materials:

* New automatic transmission solenoid (model specific part number)
* Automatic transmission oil
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission filter (recommended)
* Tools:
* Wrench set
* Flat head screwdriver
* Torque wrench
* Lift or jacks

Procedure:

1. Preparation:

* Make sure the vehicle is on a level and firm surface.
* Raise the car on a lift or use jacks and securely install the supports.
* Stop the engine and move the automatic transmission selector to the Park position (P).

2. Draining the automatic transmission oil:

* Locate the transmission pan at the bottom of the transmission.
* Loosen the pan bolts and drain the automatic transmission oil into a suitable container.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Once the oil has been drained, completely unscrew the pan bolts and carefully remove it.
* Be prepared for some oil to remain, so have a rag ready to wipe off.

4. Replacing the solenoid:

* Locate the faulty solenoid and note its location.
* Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
* Use a flathead screwdriver to pry and remove the solenoid from the transmission valve body.
* Install the new solenoid in place and tighten it using a torque wrench to the recommended torque.
* Connect the electrical connector to the solenoid.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Install a new automatic transmission pan gasket and apply sealant to the bolts.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts with a torque wrench in the appropriate order and torque.

6. Installing an automatic transmission filter (optional):

* If you are changing an automatic transmission filter, remove the old filter and install a new one.

7. Filling the automatic transmission with oil:

* Fill new automatic transmission oil into the gearbox to the appropriate level indicated on the dipstick.

8. Starting the engine and checking:

* Start the engine and shift the automatic transmission selector through all gears.
* Check for leaks and make sure the transmission is operating properly.

9. Reset automatic transmission adaptation (recommended):

* The negative terminal of the battery is disconnected for a few minutes.
* Connect the battery terminal and start the engine.
* Shift the automatic transmission selector through all gears with a delay of 3-5 seconds in each gear.

10. Check the oil level:

* After driving a short distance, check the automatic transmission oil level on the dipstick and top up if necessary.
