Materials:

* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Transmission fluid (according to manufacturer’s recommendations)
*Torque key
* Funnel
* Rags

Tools:

* Pliers
* 10 mm hex key
* 17 mm hex key
* Torque wrench
* Oil drain pan

Safety:

* Place the car on a flat surface and block the wheels.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
* Wear protective gloves.

Procedure:

1. Remove the crankcase guard: If present, remove it using a 10mm hex key.

2. Drain the automatic transmission fluid: Place the drain pan under the automatic transmission pan. Using a 17mm hex wrench, loosen the drain plug on the pan and drain the fluid.

3. Remove the automatic transmission pan: After the fluid has been drained, remove the automatic transmission pan mounting bolts using a 17 mm hex key. Be prepared for some residual liquid. Carefully remove the tray.

4. Remove the old automatic transmission filter: Find the old automatic transmission filter and remove it using pliers.

5. Install the new automatic transmission filter: Install the new automatic transmission filter in its place by hand, then secure it with pliers.

6. Install the automatic transmission pan gasket: Remove the old gasket and install a new one.

7. Install the automatic transmission pan: Carefully install the automatic transmission pan into place and tighten the mounting bolts with a torque wrench in accordance with the specified tightening torque.

8. Fill new fluid into the automatic transmission: Pour new fluid into the automatic transmission through the dipstick until you reach the required level. Use a funnel to avoid spills.

9. Check the fluid level: Start the engine and let it idle. Move the gear selector to all positions and return it to the “P” position. Check the fluid level on the dipstick and add if necessary.

10. Install the crankcase guard: Reinstall the crankcase guard and tighten the bolts.

11. Reset the automatic transmission service counter: If your vehicle has an automatic transmission service counter, reset it according to the procedure described in the vehicle owner’s manual.

12. Check the operation of the automatic transmission: Drive a few kilometers and check whether the automatic transmission is functioning correctly.
