Required tools and materials:
* New automatic transmission left drive oil seal
* Torx keys T45 and T60
* 32 mm spanner
* Hub nut wrench
* Hammer and punch
* Brake cleaner
* Grease for CV joints
Execution order:
1. Preparation:
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and secure it with the parking brake.
* Place wheel chocks under the wheels.
2. Wheel removal:
* Using a hub nut wrench, loosen the left front wheel nuts.
* Raise the car using a jack and remove the wheel.
3. Removing the CV joint:
* Remove the plug at the end of the hub and unscrew the central nut by 32 mm.
* Disconnect the CV joint from the hub using a hammer and drift. Be careful not to damage the hub.
* Unscrew the bolt securing the CV joint to the gearbox (Torx T60).
* Slide the CV joint from the transmission shaft.
4. Removing the old oil seal:
* Using a screwdriver, pry up the old seal and carefully remove it from its seat.
* Clean the oil seal seat from dirt and sealant residues.
5. Installing a new oil seal:
* Apply some CV joint grease to the new seal and transmission shaft.
* Carefully insert the new oil seal into the seat.
* Use a suitable mandrel (such as a pipe or a hammer with a socket) to press the oil seal until it stops.
6. Assembly:
* Reinstall the CV joint onto the transmission shaft and tighten the mounting bolt (Torx T60).
* Attach the CV joint to the hub and tighten the center nut (32 mm).
* Reinstall the wheel and tighten the nuts.
7. Completion:
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Check the gearbox oil level and add if necessary.
* Make sure the oil seal does not leak oil.
