Materials:
* Automatic transmission position sensor
* Set of socket wrenches
* Screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Disconnecting the battery
* Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Determine the location of the sensor
* The automatic transmission position sensor is located on the automatic transmission housing, next to the gear selector.
3. Disconnecting the connector
* Locate the electrical connector connected to the sensor.
* Gently press the connector latch and disconnect it from the sensor.
4. Unscrewing the sensor
*Get a socket wrench of the appropriate size.
* Locate the bolt securing the sensor to the automatic transmission housing.
* Unscrew the bolt.
5. Removing the old sensor
* Gently pull the sensor up to remove it from the automatic transmission housing.
6. Installing a new sensor
* Insert the new sensor into the hole on the automatic transmission housing.
* Install the bolt and tighten it.
7. Connector connection
* Connect the connector to the new sensor.
* Make sure the connector is fully secured.
8. Battery connection
* Go back to the battery and connect the negative terminal.
9. Check
* Start the engine and shift gear to “D”.
* The car should shift gears smoothly.
Adviсe:
* Make sure the engine is cold before starting work.
* Be careful when disconnecting the connector to avoid damaging its pins.
*Tighten bolts only to the required torque.
*If you experience difficulty, consult a qualified mechanic.
