Required tools and materials:
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* New automatic transmission oil pan gasket
* 10 mm socket wrench
* 19 mm socket wrench
* Oil drain container
* Funnel
* New gear oil (volume depends on the model and modification of the car)
Replacement procedure:
1. Raise and secure the vehicle on a lift or using jacks and stands.
2. Drain the oil from the automatic transmission. Unscrew the automatic transmission oil pan drain plug using a 19 mm wrench. Wait until all the oil has drained into the container.
3. Remove the automatic transmission oil pan. Unscrew the oil pan mounting bolts using a 10 mm wrench. Carefully remove the oil pan, separating it from the automatic transmission housing.
4. Replace the oil filter. The oil filter is usually located inside the oil pan. Unscrew the old filter using a 10mm wrench and install the new one.
5. Reinstall the oil pan. Install a new gasket on the oil pan and screw it to the automatic transmission housing. Tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.
6. Fill the automatic transmission with new oil. Using a funnel, pour new transmission oil into the automatic transmission. The volume of oil to be filled depends on the model and modification of the car. Check the oil level using the dipstick and add if necessary.
7. Reset the automatic transmission oil change counter (if applicable). Some car models have an automatic transmission oil change counter that must be reset after changing the oil. Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for instructions on how to reset the meter.
8. Check for leaks. Lower the vehicle and start the engine. Let it idle and inspect the automatic transmission oil pan for leaks. If leaks are found, repair them.
Additional tips:
* It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission oil filter and transmission oil every 60,000-100,000 km.
* Use only oil recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
* Be careful when working with hot automatic transmission oil.
* Dispose of used oil and oil filter in accordance with local environmental regulations.
