Required tools and materials:

* Set of socket wrenches
* Phillips screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* Extension for socket wrench
* Torque wrench
* New drive oil seal (original or trusted brand)
* Brake cleaner
* Transmission sealant
* Clean rags

Steps to replace the drive seal:

1. Ensure safety: Apply the parking brake and chock the wheels.

2. Raise the car: Raise the front of the car using a jack and secure it on stands.

3. Remove the wheel: Remove the wheel from the seal side you are replacing.

4. Remove the ball joint: Using a socket wrench, remove the bolt securing the ball joint to the control arm.

5. Disconnect the drive shaft:
* Remove the cotter pin securing the hub nut.
* Unscrew the hub nut.
* Remove the drive shaft from the hub.

6. Disconnect the drive shaft from the gearbox:
* Remove the bolts securing the drive shaft to the gearbox.
* Remove the drive shaft from the gearbox.

7. Remove the old oil seal:
*Using a flat head screwdriver, carefully pry the old seal and remove it from the shaft.
* Clean the seal area with brake cleaner and clean rags.

8. Install a new oil seal:
* Apply a small amount of transmission sealant to the outer lip of the oil seal.
* Carefully push the oil seal into place using a mandrel or suitable tool.

9. Install the drive shaft:
* Reinstall the drive shaft into the transmission.
* Tighten the bolts securing the drive shaft to the transmission using a torque wrench to the specified torque.
* Reinstall the drive shaft into the hub.

10. Install the hub nut:
* Install the hub nut.
* Tighten the hub nut using a torque wrench to the specified tightening torque.
* Install a new cotter pin.

11. Install the ball joint:
* Install the ball joint on the control lever.
* Tighten the bolt securing the ball joint.

12. Install the wheel:
* Put the wheel back into place.
* Tighten the wheel bolts using a torque wrench to the specified torque.

13. Lower the car:
* Lower the vehicle from the stands.

14. Check the transmission fluid level:
* Check the transmission fluid level using the dipstick and add fluid if necessary.

Note:

* To improve the longevity of the new seal, it is recommended that both drive seals be replaced to distribute the load evenly.
*Consult your specific model repair manual for detailed instructions and tightening torques.
