Required tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission heat exchanger
* Heat exchanger gaskets
* Automatic transmission oil
* Drain container
* Pliers or adjustable wrench
* Wrenches or ratchet
* Jack and stands
* Hose puller (optional)

Replacement procedure:

1. Preparation

* Place the car on a jack and use stands for safety.
* Allow the engine and transmission to cool.
* Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Draining the oil from the automatic transmission

* Find the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan and place a drain container under it.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil.
* Screw the drain plug back into place using a new gasket.

3. Disconnecting hoses

* Press the latch on the upper and lower hoses coming from the heat exchanger.
* Carefully remove the hoses from the heat exchanger.

4. Removing the heat exchanger

* Remove the bolts securing the heat exchanger to the radiator and gearbox.
* Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the vehicle.

5. Installation of a new heat exchanger

* Clean the surface where the new heat exchanger will be installed.
* Apply sealant to the heat exchanger gaskets.
* Reinstall the new heat exchanger.
* Tighten the bolts securing the heat exchanger.

6. Connecting hoses

* Connect the upper and lower hoses to the heat exchanger.
* Snap the latches onto the hoses.

7. Filling the automatic transmission with oil

* Add automatic transmission oil using a funnel and flexible hose.
*Add approximately as much oil as was drained.
* Start the engine and circulate oil through the gearbox, switching modes.
* Check the oil level on the automatic transmission dipstick and add it if necessary.

8. Check

* Check for oil leaks on the heat exchanger.
*Check gear shifting correctly.
* Connect the negative battery cable.

Adviсe:

* It is recommended to use the original heat exchanger and gaskets from the manufacturer.
*Tighten bolts to the recommended torque.
*If the hoses are difficult to remove, use a hose puller.
* Dispose of used automatic transmission oil and filter properly.
* After replacing the heat exchanger, it is recommended to drive approximately 100 km and check the automatic transmission oil level again.
