Required tools and materials:
* New drive seal
* Set of socket wrenches
* Ratchet
* Extension cord
* E14 head
* Hexagon set
* Wire cleaning brush
* Lubrication
* Gloves
Instructions:
1. Preparation:
* Place the car in park and block the wheels.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Wheel removal:
* Loosen the wheel bolts using a socket wrench.
* Raise the car using a jack.
* Remove the wheel.
3. Removing the drive:
* Unscrew the hub nut using an E14 socket wrench.
* Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle using a hex wrench.
* Remove the drive from the hub.
* Pull the drive out of the gearbox using a hex wrench and a hammer. (Do not use excessive force to avoid damaging the transmission.)
4. Removing the old oil seal:
* Clean the area around the oil seal with a wire brush.
* Pry up the old oil seal and remove it.
5. Installing a new oil seal:
* Lubricate the running surface of the new oil seal with transmission oil.
* Press the new oil seal into place using a hammer and a socket that will not damage the oil seal.
6. Drive installation:
* Insert the drive back into the gearbox.
* Reinstall the ball joint.
* Tighten the hub nut to the specified torque.
7. Wheel installation:
* Place the wheel on the hub.
* Tighten the wheel bolts.
8. Completion of work:
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Lower the car.
* Tighten the wheel bolts to the specified torque.
Adviсe:
* Replace the drive seal even if there are no visible oil leaks.
* Using a socket to install the seal will help prevent damage to the seal.
*Make sure the new part is the correct size and type for your vehicle.
* Tighten all bolts and nuts to the specified torque to ensure proper operation.
*If you do not have experience with transmissions, it is recommended that you take it to a professional mechanic.
