Required tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission temperature sensor
* Set of keys
* Screwdriver
* Rags
* Container for collecting automatic transmission fluid

Replacement instructions:

1. Place the car on a level surface. Apply the parking brake.

2. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent short circuit.

3. Find the automatic transmission temperature sensor. It is usually located on or near the automatic transmission pan.

4. Disconnect the sensor connector. Press the latch and gently pull the connector.

5. Loosen the sensor. Use a wrench or screwdriver to loosen the sensor slightly.

6. Pull out the old sensor. Carefully remove the sensor from the automatic transmission pan. Don’t forget to drain the remaining automatic transmission fluid into a nearby container.

7. Apply some sealant to the O-ring of the new sensor. This will help prevent fluid leakage.

8. Insert the new sensor into place. Carefully insert the sensor into the hole in the automatic transmission pan. Make sure the O-ring is installed correctly.

9. Tighten the sensor. Use a wrench or screwdriver to tighten the sensor to the specified torque.

10. Connect the sensor connector. Insert the connector into the sensor and press the latch to lock it in place.

11. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.

12. Start the engine and check the automatic transmission fluid level. Check the fluid level on the automatic transmission dipstick with the engine idling and the gearbox warm. Add fluid if necessary.
