Required materials:

* New light bulbs for automatic transmission
* Screwdriver (usually Phillips)
* Pliers (optional)

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent short circuit.
2. Remove the shift panel: Using a screwdriver, remove the screws or bolts holding the shift panel. Gently pull the panel up and disconnect the electrical connectors.
3. Locate the light bulbs: The lights are usually located at the rear of the shifter. They may be hidden under a small plastic covering.
4. Remove old light bulbs: Using pliers, carefully pull the old light bulbs out of their sockets.
5. Insert new light bulbs: Insert new light bulbs into the sockets. Make sure they are inserted correctly and securely.
6. Reassemble the shift panel: Connect the electrical connectors and return the shift panel to its place. Tighten the screws or bolts.
7. Connect the battery: Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
8. Check the backlight: Turn on the ignition and check that the gear selector backlight is on.
