Required tools:
* Set of socket wrenches
* Collar
* Speedometer drive gear
* Transmission Lubricant
* Rags
* Container for draining transmission fluid
Instructions:
1. Preparation:
* Place the vehicle on a lift or level surface.
*Secure the vehicle with the parking brake.
2. Draining transmission fluid:
* Locate the transmission drain plug under the vehicle.
* Place the container under the stopper.
* Carefully unscrew the plug and drain the transmission fluid.
3. Removing the old gear:
* Locate the speedometer drive connector on the transmission.
* Disconnect the speed sensor plug.
* Remove the ring from the gear.
* Pull out the old gear.
4. Installing a new gear:
* Apply transmission lubricant to the speedometer drive shaft.
* Install the new gear onto the shaft.
* Install the standing ring.
5. Connecting the speed sensor:
* Connect the speed sensor plug to the connector on the gearbox.
6. Filling with transmission fluid:
* Locate the transmission filler plug.
* Fill with the recommended type and amount of transmission fluid.
7. Checking the fluid level:
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Check the transmission fluid level using the dipstick.
*If necessary, add fluid to the recommended level.
8. Cleaning:
* Wipe off any areas where transmission fluid may have come into contact with a rag.
