Required tools and materials:
* Tool set
* Jack
* Stands
* Rags
* New automatic transmission oil seal
* Transmission fluid
* Sealant
Instructions:
1. Preparation
* Put the car on the parking brake and block the wheels.
* Raise the car and secure it on stands.
* Disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal.
2. Removing the automatic transmission
* Remove the air filter and disconnect the gear shift actuators.
* Disconnect the hydraulic lines, electrical connectors and speedometer shaft.
* Unscrew the mounting bolts that connect the automatic transmission to the engine.
* Carefully remove the automatic transmission and place it on a pallet.
3. Replacing the oil seal
* Remove the old oil seal using a flathead screwdriver or special tool.
* Clean the seat from residual sealant and dirt.
* Apply a thin layer of sealant to the inside edge of the new oil seal.
* Insert the new oil seal into the seat and carefully drive it into place.
* Remove excess sealant with a rag.
4. Assembly
* Reinstall the automatic transmission onto the engine and tighten the mounting bolts.
* Reconnect all removed components.
* Fill with fresh transmission fluid through the filler neck.
* Install the battery and start the engine.
5. Checking the work
* Check the transmission fluid level and add if necessary.
* Shift all gears and check for leaks.
* Check the fluid level again after the vehicle has been driven for several kilometers.
