Required tools and materials:
* New automatic transmission oil pump gasket seal
* Set of wrenches and screwdrivers
* Sealant for gaskets
* Brake cleaner
* Gloves
Procedure:
1. Preparation
*Place the car in park and apply the parking brake.
* Drain the automatic transmission oil into a suitable container.
* Remove the automatic transmission pan by unscrewing the bolts around the perimeter.
2. Removing the oil pump
* Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pump.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the oil pump to the automatic transmission housing.
* Carefully remove the oil pump along with the gasket.
3. Replacing the gasket
* Clean the oil pump and transmission housing surfaces of old gasket and sealant using brake cleaner.
* Apply a thin layer of gasket sealant to the surface of the oil pump and automatic transmission housing.
* Install a new gasket on the oil pump.
4. Installation of the oil pump
* Carefully install the oil pump onto the automatic transmission housing.
* Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to the specified torque.
* Connect the electrical connector to the oil pump.
5. Installing the automatic transmission pan
* Clean the surfaces of the automatic transmission pan and automatic transmission housing from old sealant using brake cleaner.
* Apply a new layer of gasket sealant to the surface of the automatic transmission housing.
* Install the automatic transmission pan and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
6. Oil filling
* Fill the automatic transmission with the recommended amount and type of oil.
7. Completion
* Check the automatic transmission oil level and add it if necessary.
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes, shifting gears periodically.
* Check for oil leaks from under the automatic transmission pan or oil pump.
Adviсe:
* Use only the recommended gasket designed for the specific automatic transmission model.
* Do not overtighten the bolts, as this may damage the gasket or transmission housing.
*Allow the gasket sealant to dry completely before starting the engine.
* After replacing the gasket, it is recommended to reset the automatic transmission adaptation to ensure optimal operation.
