Materials:

* New automatic transmission oil filter (original LAND ROVER: LR032816)
* New automatic transmission pan gasket (original LAND ROVER: LR032813)
* Automatic transmission oil (original LAND ROVER: LR033051)
* Automatic transmission pan installation screws (M6 x 25 mm)
* Copper grease

Tools:

* Set of wrenches or sockets
* Hex key
* Tray for collecting used oil
* Funnel
* Rags

Steps:

1. Raise the car. Use a lift or jacks with stands to raise the vehicle. Chock the wheels to prevent them from moving.

2. Drain the used oil. Open the automatic transmission pan drain plug and drain the used oil into the pan. Do not screw the drain cap back on.

3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the pan mounting screws and remove it from the transmission. Be careful as oil may continue to leak.

4. Replace the filter. Unscrew the filter mount and remove the old filter. Place the new filter in place and tighten the fastener.

5. Install a new gasket. Clean the surfaces of the pan and transmission where the gasket is located. Apply copper grease to the new gasket and install it in place.

6. Install the automatic transmission pan. Screw the pan to the transmission with new set screws. Tighten the screws to the specified torque.

7. Screw in the drain plug. Screw the drain plug back into the pan and tighten it to the specified torque.

8. Fill with new oil. Fill in new transmission oil through the filler hole at the top of the automatic transmission. The volume of oil to be filled depends on the automatic transmission model.

9. Check the oil level. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Then change all gears and put the car into park again. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the pan. Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. Add oil if necessary.

10. Lower the vehicle. Lower the car and remove the locking pads.

Note:

* When replacing the filter, it is recommended to replace the automatic transmission pan gasket, as it becomes compacted over time and may begin to leak oil.
*Use only genuine LAND ROVER parts or equivalent.
* Dispose of used oil and filter in accordance with local environmental regulations.
