Required materials:
* New automatic transmission light bulb (194 or T10, type WEDGE)
Tools:
* Small flat head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Turn off the ignition and put the car in park.
2. Find the automatic transmission illumination panel. It is usually located on the right side of the gear lever.
3. Pry off the panel with a flat-head screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the panel.
4. Remove the panel. It should come out without much effort.
5. Remove the light bulb from the socket. It is usually held in place with metal clamps. Press the clips to release the bulb.
6. Insert the new light bulb into the socket. Make sure it is inserted securely.
7. Reinstall the backlight panel. Click it in place until it locks into place.
8. Turn on the ignition and check the automatic transmission illumination.
Notes:
* Bulb type may vary depending on Chevrolet Aveo model and year of manufacture.
*If you cannot remove the backlight panel with a screwdriver, you can try using a plastic trim removal tool.
* If the light does not light after replacement, check the electrical connections and fuses.
