Management:
1. Ensure safety: Apply the parking brake and place wheel chocks under the front wheels.
2. Cool the vehicle: Allow the engine to cool before starting work.
3. Raise the vehicle: Raise the vehicle using a lift or jacks to gain access to the automatic transmission pan.
4. Drain the fluid: Place a drain pan under the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the liquid. Tighten the drain plug with a new gasket if necessary.
5. Remove the pan: Using a set of wrenches, remove the bolts holding the pan. Remove the tray carefully as there may be liquid left in it.
6. Clean the tray and magnet: Clean the tray and the magnet located on it from metal and other contaminants.
7. Replace the filter: Remove the old filter and install the new one in its place. Make sure the filter is inserted correctly.
8. Reinstall the pan: Apply a thin layer of transmission fluid to the new pan gasket. Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the owner’s manual.
9. Fill with fluid: Using a funnel, pour the required amount of transmission fluid into the automatic transmission.
10. Check the fluid level: Start the engine and let it idle. Check the fluid level on the dipstick and add if necessary.
11. Reset automatic transmission adaptation: After replacing the fluid, you may need to reset the automatic transmission adaptation. This is done by disconnecting the battery for a short time or using special diagnostic equipment.
12. Check for Leaks: Check under the vehicle for fluid leaks. If you find a leak, fix it.
13. Lower the vehicle: Lower the vehicle slowly.
Adviсe:
