Materials:

* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Transmission fluid (ATF)
*Torque key
* 10 mm socket wrench or socket
* 17 mm socket wrench or socket
* Container for draining transmission fluid

Instructions:

1. Warm up the engine: Start the car and let it idle for a few minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.

2. Raise the vehicle: Raise the vehicle using a lift or jacks. Make sure the car is stable.

3. Locate the automatic transmission pan: The automatic transmission pan is located at the bottom of the transmission. It is a rectangular metal plate.

4. Drain the transmission fluid: Place a drain container under the automatic transmission pan. Using a 17mm wrench, unscrew the drain plug. Drain the liquid into a container.

5. Remove the automatic transmission pan: Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan. Remove the pan carefully as there may be some transmission fluid left inside.

6. Replace the automatic transmission filter: Remove the old automatic transmission filter from the pan. Install the new filter in its place, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

7. Clean the pan and gasket: Clean the automatic transmission pan and gasket from old transmission fluid and debris.

8. Install a new gasket: Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission pan.

9. Install the automatic transmission pan: Install the automatic transmission pan in place and tighten the bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.

10. Fill with new transmission fluid: Using a funnel, pour new transmission fluid through the filler hole at the top of the automatic transmission. Fill in the recommended amount of fluid, check the level on the dipstick.

11. Start the car: Start the car and let it idle for a few minutes. Shift the gear selector to all positions and then return it to the park position.

12. Check the transmission fluid level: Check the transmission fluid level on the dipstick. The level should be between the “hot” and “cold” marks on the dipstick.

13. Lower the vehicle: Lower the vehicle to the ground.

Notes:

* It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission filter every 60,000-80,000 km.
* Use only transmission fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
