Step-by-step guide to replacing the automatic transmission filter on a Hyundai Solaris
Required materials:
* New gearbox filter (original or high-quality analogue)
* Transmission filter gasket
*Transmission fluid (check the specification for your vehicle)
* 10 mm hex key
* Container for draining liquid
* Funnel
Instructions:
1. Preparation
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Warm up the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.
2. Draining liquid
* Place a container under the transmission drain hole located at the bottom of the pan.
* Loosen the drain plug with a 10mm hex key and allow the fluid to drain.
*Wait until the liquid drains completely.
3. Removing the pallet
* Clean the pan bolts from dirt.
* Unscrew the pan bolts with a 10 mm wrench and carefully separate the pan from the gearbox housing.
* Be careful as remaining liquid may spill out of the pan.
4. Filter replacement
* Remove the old transmission filter by pulling it up.
* Lubricate the new filter gasket with transmission fluid.
* Reinstall the new filter and make sure it is properly secured.

* Clean the surfaces of the transmission pan and housing.

* Attach the pan to the gearbox housing and tighten the bolts to 9-11 Nm.
6. Filling liquid
* Determine the amount of transmission fluid that needs to be added by checking the level on the transmission dipstick.
* Pour liquid through the filler hole using a funnel.
* Warm up the engine and change gears to pump fluid through the system.
7. Checking the fluid level
*Check the fluid level with the engine idling and the transmission in Park.
*Add fluid if necessary.
