* Automatic transmission oil filter gasket
* Automatic transmission oil (quantity in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations)

Replacement procedure:
1. Preparatory stage:
* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Turn off the engine and let it cool.
* Move the gear selector to the «Park» position.
2. Draining the oil:
* Locate the automatic transmission oil pan drain plug.
* Place a container under the drain plug to drain the oil.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil into a container.
* Pay attention to the color and smell of the oil and, if necessary, have it analyzed.
3. Filter replacement:
* Locate the automatic transmission oil filter, which is usually located next to the drain plug.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the filter and remove it.
* Clean the filter seating surface from any remaining oil and install a new filter gasket.
* Reinstall the new filter and tighten the bolts.
4. Oil filling:
* Using a funnel, pour the recommended amount of new automatic transmission oil into the transmission.
* Check the oil level using a pressure gauge and add oil if necessary.
5. Starting the engine and checking the oil level:
* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift the gear selector to all positions and return it to Park.
* Check the automatic transmission oil level again and add if necessary.
6. Resetting the oil change counter:
Some Kia Sorento models have an automatic transmission oil change counter that must be reset after changing the oil. Reset is performed using diagnostic equipment or following the instructions in the user manual.
7. Final steps:
* Tighten the drain plug with a new gasket.
* Reset the fault code if present.
* Test the transmission by driving at different speeds and modes.
* Check the oil level again after a few days or 100 km.
