* Set of keys and socket heads
* Extension cord
* Funnel
* Liquid collection tray
* New gloves

Procedure:

1. Preparing the car

* Turn off the engine and let the car cool down.
* Place the vehicle on level ground.
* Engage the parking brake.

2. Draining transmission fluid

* Locate the automatic transmission pan drain plug (usually a 17mm bolt).
* Place a drain pan under the drain plug.
* Unscrew the drain plug carefully. Be careful as the liquid is hot.
* Allow the liquid to drain completely.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan

* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan to the housing. Typically these are 10 or 12 mm bolts.
* Carefully remove the pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.
* Inspect the gasket for damage or wear. If the gasket is damaged, it must be replaced.

4. Replacing the automatic transmission filter

* Find the old automatic transmission filter in the pan.
* Pull out the old filter and replace it with a new one.
* Make sure the new filter is installed correctly in the direction of fluid flow.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan

* Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission pan.
* Clean the surface of the automatic transmission housing to which the pan is attached.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the mounting bolts.

6. Installing the drain plug
