Materials you will need:

* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission oil pan gasket
* Automatic transmission fluid
* Wrench set
* Container for collecting old automatic transmission fluid

Instructions:

1. Prepare the car

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Locate the automatic transmission sump under the engine.

2. Drain the old automatic transmission fluid

* Place a container under the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Unscrew the drain plug on the pan and drain the automatic transmission fluid.
* Tighten the drain plug when the fluid stops flowing.

3. Remove the automatic transmission oil pan

* Unscrew the bolts of the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Gently tap the pan to disconnect it from the automatic transmission housing.
* Remove the old automatic transmission filter and pan gasket.

4. Install a new automatic transmission filter

* Insert the new automatic transmission filter into the automatic transmission housing.
* Install a new oil pan gasket on the automatic transmission oil pan.

5. Install the automatic transmission oil pan

* Attach the automatic transmission oil pan to the automatic transmission housing and tighten the bolts by hand.
* Tighten the bolts using a wrench, following the tightening diagram.

6. Fill with new automatic transmission fluid

* Check the automatic transmission fluid level using the dipstick.
*Add new automatic transmission fluid through the fill hole.
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Shift the gearshift lever to all positions and hold it in each position for several seconds.

7. Add automatic transmission fluid

* Check the automatic transmission fluid level again.
*Add automatic transmission fluid if necessary.

8. Reset the automatic transmission fluid change counter (if any)

*If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission fluid change counter, it must be reset.
*Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for instructions on how to reset the meter.

9. Check for leaks

* Start the engine and move the gearshift lever to all positions.
* Check under the vehicle for any automatic transmission fluid leaks.

10. Collect tools and scraps

* Remove all tools and waste.
* Dispose of old automatic transmission fluid in accordance with local disposal regulations.
