Materials:

* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission fluid
* Socket wrench (if necessary)
* Hexagon (if necessary)
* Containers for waste oil
* Funnel
* Gloves

Tools:

* Jack
* Car stands
* Key for removing automatic transmission pan

Replacement procedure:

1. Ensure safety. Place the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake and jack it up. Place stands under the car.

2. Drain the automatic transmission fluid. Unscrew the drain plug of the automatic transmission pan and drain the fluid into a prepared container.

3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the pan to the automatic transmission housing. Remove the pan, being careful not to damage the filter.

4. Remove the old filter. Remove the old filter from the pan.

5. Install a new filter. Install a new filter into the automatic transmission pan. Make sure it is installed correctly and securely.

6. Clean the pan and tighten the plug. Clean the automatic transmission pan from any remaining old fluid and gasket. Install a new gasket and tighten the drain plug.

7. Fill with new automatic transmission fluid. Pour new automatic transmission fluid into the pan using a funnel. Fill in as much liquid as was drained.

8. Install the tray. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the bolts.

9. Lower the vehicle. Lower the vehicle from the stands.

10. Check the fluid level. Start the engine and let it idle. Check the automatic transmission fluid level using the dipstick and add fluid if necessary.

11. Reset automatic transmission errors. If automatic transmission errors occur while replacing the filter, they must be reset using a diagnostic scanner.

Notes:

*The type and amount of automatic transmission fluid required for replacement may vary depending on the year and model of your vehicle. Check the instruction manual.
* If you do not have a socket wrench or hexagon to remove the pan, you can contact a service station for help.
* When replacing the filter, it is recommended to also replace the automatic transmission pan gasket.
* After replacing the automatic transmission filter, it may take several days of driving for the system to adapt to the new filter and fluid.
