Tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission drain plug gasket
* Key for automatic transmission drain plug
* Container for collecting automatic transmission oil
* Gloves
*rag or paper towels

Steps:

1. Preparation

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and secure the wheel chocks.
* Cool down the vehicle before starting work.
* Wear gloves.

2. Draining the automatic transmission oil

* Place a container to collect oil under the automatic transmission drain plug.
* Using a drain plug wrench, carefully unscrew the drain plug.
* Allow the oil to drain into the container.

3. Replacing the gasket

* Find the old gasket on the drain plug and remove it.
* Clean the surface of the drain plug and the threads of the plug of old oil and debris.
* Take a new gasket and place it on the drain plug. Make sure it is positioned correctly.

4. Installing the drain plug

* Insert the drain plug with a new gasket into place.
*Tighten the drain plug, but do not overtighten. The tightening torque is usually specified in your vehicle’s service manual.

5. Filling the automatic transmission with oil

* Fill the automatic transmission with new oil according to the instructions in the service manual.
* Check the oil level and add if necessary.

6. Cleaning

* Wipe off any spilled oil from the automatic transmission and pan.
* Dispose of old automatic transmission oil and gasket properly.

7. Check

* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Check the automatic transmission for leaks.
*If there are no leaks, the job is complete.
