Materials:
* New automatic transmission drive oil seals (2 pcs.)
* Transmission oil (by volume, if necessary to replace)
* O-ring for automatic transmission pan (if necessary to replace)
* Automatic transmission filter (if necessary to replace)
* Rags
* Oil drain container
* List of tools
Tools:
* Set of socket wrenches
* Hex key set
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* Pliers
* Metal brush
* Pry bar or plastic scraper
* Torque wrench
* Soft bristle brush
Steps:
1. Security:
* Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental starting of the engine.
2. Draining the oil:
* Place a container to drain the oil under the automatic transmission pan.
* Unscrew the drain plug of the automatic transmission pan and drain the oil.
3. Dismantling the drives:
* Disconnect the wheel located on the drive side that needs to be replaced.
* Remove the protective plate from the wheel hub.
* Unscrew the hub mounting bolt.
* Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
* Remove the drive from the gearbox.
4. Replacing the oil seal:
* Clean the oil seal seat on the gearbox with a metal brush.
* Lubricate the new oil seal with transmission oil.
* Carefully push the seal into place using a mandrel or a suitable object (such as an old PVC pipe).
* Make sure the oil seal is completely seated.
5. Installation of drives:
* Insert the drive into the gearbox and make sure it is properly locked.
* Screw on the hub mounting bolt.
* Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle.
* Install the protective plate on the hub.
* Attach the wheel.
6. Filling oil:
* Fill the automatic transmission with transmission oil through the filler plug.
* Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick.
* If necessary, add oil to the required level.
7. Assembly:
* Install the automatic transmission pan o-ring if it has been replaced.
* Screw the automatic transmission pan to the gearbox.
* Tighten the pan bolts to the required torque.
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
8. Check:
* Start the engine and shift all automatic transmission gears.
*Check for oil leaks.
* Drive the car and check for smooth gear shifting.
*If any problems are found, contact a qualified mechanic.
