Required tools and materials:
* Wrench set
* Hex key
* Hammer
* Punch
* New differential bearings (2 pcs.)
*Differential housing gasket
* Transmission fluid
Procedure:
1. Removing the automatic transmission:
* Disconnect the battery.
* Drain the transmission fluid.
* Disconnect the automatic transmission sensor connectors.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission to the engine and body.
* Carefully remove the automatic transmission from the vehicle.
2. Removing the differential:
* Unscrew the bolts securing the differential housing to the automatic transmission housing.
* Carefully remove the differential housing.
* Remove the differential from the housing.
3. Replacement of bearings:
* Remove the snap rings from both ends of the differential.
* Using a hammer and drift, knock out the old bearings from the differential.
*Insert new bearings using the same procedure.
* Install new circlips.
4. Installation of differential and automatic transmission housing:
* Reinstall the differential into the housing.
* Apply sealant to the differential housing gasket.
* Reinstall the differential housing and tighten the mounting bolts.
5. Automatic transmission installation:
* Lift the automatic transmission into place and secure it to the engine and body.
* Connect the automatic transmission sensor connectors.
* Fill with new transmission fluid.
6. Checking and setting:
* Check the transmission fluid level.
* Start the engine and shift through all gears to check the operation of the automatic transmission.
* If necessary, adjust the tension of the transmission cable.
Notes:
* When replacing differential bearings, do not disassemble the differential itself.
* Make sure that the new bearings match the original ones in size and type.
