Materials required to replace Cadillac Escalade automatic transmission pipes:

* New automatic transmission tubes
* Transmission fluid (Dexron VI)
* Automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Gaskets for automatic transmission pipes
* Socket wrenches
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Funnel

Instructions for replacing Cadillac Escalade automatic transmission tubes:

1. Preparation:

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Draining fluid from the automatic transmission:

* Find the drain plug in the automatic transmission pan and place a container under it to drain the fluid.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the automatic transmission fluid.
* When the fluid stops flowing, clean and replace the drain plug with a new washer.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan.
* Carefully lower the pan and drain the remaining liquid.
* Remove the old pan gasket.

4. Replacing automatic transmission tubes:

* Remove the clamps holding the automatic transmission tubes.
* Remove the old automatic transmission tubes.
* Lubricate new automatic transmission tubes and gaskets with transmission fluid.
* Install new automatic transmission tubes and secure them with clamps.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Install a new pan gasket onto the pan.
* Reinstall the automatic transmission pan.
* Tighten the pan mounting bolts.

6. Filling with automatic transmission fluid:

* Using a funnel, pour new Dexron VI transmission fluid into the automatic transmission.
* Fill in the volume of liquid recommended by the manufacturer (usually about 6-8 liters).
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.

7. Checking the automatic transmission fluid level:

* While the engine is idling, remove the automatic transmission fluid dipstick.
* Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth and reinsert it.
* The fluid level should be between the “hot” and “cold” marks.

8. Completion:

*Add transmission fluid if necessary.
* Connect the battery cable.
* Remove air pockets from the automatic transmission system by driving the vehicle a short distance.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level again and add if necessary.

Note: Be sure to follow the automatic transmission fluid specifications recommended by the manufacturer.
