Tools and materials:

* Set of socket wrenches
* Torque wrench
* Metal brush
* Sealant for oil sump
* New automatic transmission seals
* Transmission fluid (ATF)

Precautions:

* Allow the engine and transmission to cool before starting work.
*Work on a level surface.
* Prevent foreign objects from getting into the automatic transmission.

Instructions:

1. Draining transmission fluid:

* Find the automatic transmission pan drain plug and place a container under it.
* Unscrew the drain plug and allow the liquid to drain.
* Clean the drain plug and replace the O-ring.

2. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Unscrew the pallet mounting bolts.
* Carefully separate the pan from the automatic transmission housing.
* Clean the tray and the magnet on the inside.
* Replace the pan gasket with a new one.

3. Replacing oil seals:

Crankshaft oil seal:

* Insert the new oil seal into the socket on the crankshaft.
* Install a new bolt and tighten it with a torque wrench to the torque specified in the repair manual.

Input shaft oil seal:

* Remove the protective cover from the input shaft.
* Insert the new oil seal into the socket on the input shaft.
*Put the protective cover back in place.

Differential seals:

* Remove the differential side cover.
* Remove the old seals.
* Insert new oil seals into the sockets.
* Reinstall the side cover and tighten the bolts.

4. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Apply a layer of sealant to the mating surface of the pallet.
* Install the pan on the automatic transmission housing.
* Tighten the mounting bolts.

5. Filling transmission fluid:

* Fill in new transmission fluid through the filler plug in the required quantity.
* Check the fluid level after the engine has warmed up and all gears have been shifted.

6. Removing air from the system:

* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift all gears in the “park” position and back.
* Repeat the process several times.
* Check the fluid level and add if necessary.

7. Resetting automatic transmission adaptations:

* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 10 minutes.
* Reconnect the terminal.
* Start the engine and let it idle for 5 minutes.
* Shift all gears in order, holding each gear for 5 seconds.
* Adaptations reset is complete.
