Replacing the Geely Atlas gearbox inhibitor

Required tools:

* Set of keys
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* Container for collecting automatic transmission fluid
* New automatic transmission inhibitor gasket (if required)

Replacement procedure:

1. Preparation

* Park the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Allow the engine and transmission to cool.

2. Removing the automatic transmission inhibitor

* Locate the automatic transmission inhibitor, which is usually located on the side of the transmission.
* Remove the bolts securing the inhibitor to the gearbox housing.
* Carefully pull out the inhibitor, being careful not to damage the wires.

3. Replacing the gasket

* If the inhibitor gasket is damaged or worn, it must be replaced.
* Remove the old gasket and clean the surface of the gearbox housing.
* Install the new gasket, making sure it is positioned correctly.

4. Installation of automatic transmission inhibitor

* Carefully push the inhibitor into place, aligning it with the gasket.
* Tighten the inhibitor mounting bolts to the recommended torque.

5. Wiring connection

* Connect the wires to the inhibitor.
* Make sure all wires are securely fastened.

6. Completion of assembly

* Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Start the car and check the operation of the automatic transmission inhibitor.
* Using a diagnostic scanner (if equipped), check for trouble codes related to the automatic transmission inhibitor.
