Materials and tools:

* New automatic transmission fluid (type specified in the owner’s manual)
* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Brush with metal bristles
* Carburetor or brake cleaner
* Set of wrenches or ratchets
* Funnel
* Rags or gloves

Replacement procedure:

1. Preparation:

* Start the engine and warm up the automatic transmission to operating temperature.
* Turn off the engine and set the parking brake.

2. Draining old fluid:

* Find the automatic transmission pan and remove the drain plug using a wrench or ratchet.
* Drain the old fluid into a clean container.
* When the fluid flow weakens, unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan and carefully remove it.

3. Cleaning the pan and filter:

* Remove the old gasket from the automatic transmission pan.
* Clean the pan and magnet of any metal shavings using a wire brush and carburetor or brake cleaner.
* Remove the old automatic transmission filter and replace it with a new one.

4. Pallet installation:

* Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission pan.
* Carefully screw the tray back into place. Tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

5. Filling with new fluid:

* Insert a funnel into the hole for the automatic transmission dipstick.
* Fill in the required amount of new fluid in accordance with the instruction manual. Usually this is from 3 to 5 liters.
* Reinstall the dipstick and check the fluid level. Add fluid if necessary.

6. Checking the fluid level:

* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the fluid.
* Shift the gear selector to each position and hold it for a few seconds.
* Stop the engine and wait a few minutes until the fluid cools down.
* Remove the dipstick, wipe it with a clean rag and reinsert it into the automatic transmission.
* The fluid level should be between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks on the dipstick. Add fluid if necessary.

7. Final stage:

* Start the engine and check for leaks from the automatic transmission.
* Drive the car and test its performance in various driving modes.

* It is recommended to change the automatic transmission fluid and filter in accordance with the service interval specified in the owner’s manual.
