Tools and materials:

* New transmission solenoids kit
* Transmission fluid
*Transmission funnel
* Needle nose pliers
*Cleaning cloth

Replacement procedure:

1. Safety first

* Make sure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is set.
* Allow the engine to cool to avoid burns.

2. Drain the transmission fluid

* Locate the drain plug under the transmission.
* Place a container with a volume of at least 4 liters under it.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain all the liquid into a container.

3. Remove the transmission pan

*Locate the bolts or screws securing the transmission pan to the transmission housing.
* Remove all bolts or screws and carefully remove the pan.

4. Inspect the tray and magnets

* Inspect the tray and magnets for metal shavings or other signs of wear.
* Clean the pan of any dirt or debris.

5. Replace solenoids

*Locate the solenoids located on the transmission housing.
*Using needle nose pliers, disconnect the electrical connectors from the solenoids.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the solenoids and remove them from the gearbox housing.
* Reinstall the new solenoids and tighten the bolts.
* Connect the electrical connectors to the solenoids.

6. Install the transmission pan gasket

* Clean the surfaces of the gearbox housing and pan where the gasket will be installed.
* Apply a thin layer of sealant to one side of the new gasket.
* Install the gasket onto the transmission housing and tighten the bolts or screws.

7. Install the transmission pan

* Lift the transmission pan and align it with the transmission housing.
* Tighten the bolts or screws to secure the tray.

8. Fill with transmission fluid

*Insert a funnel into the transmission dipstick hole.
* Pour transmission fluid into the transmission until it reaches the “Full” mark on the dipstick.

9. Check fluid level

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Shift the gear selector to all positions and return to Park.
* Check the fluid level on the transmission dipstick. It should be between the “Min.” marks. and “Max.”

10. Clean up spills

* Clean up any transmission fluid spills around the transmission or under the vehicle.

11. Drive a car

* Drive the car and let it travel for several kilometers. This will allow the transmission fluid to be evenly distributed throughout the system.
* Check the fluid level again and add fluid if necessary.
