Materials you will need:

* New automatic transmission selector
* Wrench set
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips head screwdriver
* Pliers for removing clamps

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent short circuits from occurring during operation.

2. Remove the automatic transmission selector cover. Grasp the automatic transmission selector knob and pull it up to remove the cover.

3. Disconnect electrical connectors. Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from the automatic transmission selector.

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts. Locate the bolts that secure the automatic transmission selector to the rocker. Unscrew them using a wrench.

5. Remove the old automatic transmission selector. Pull the old automatic transmission selector up and remove it from the rocker.

6. Install a new automatic transmission selector. Install the new automatic transmission selector on the rocker and tighten the mounting bolts.

7. Connect the electrical connectors. Connect the electrical connectors to the new automatic transmission selector.

8. Install the automatic transmission selector cover. Reinstall the automatic transmission selector boot and press it until it clicks into place.

9. Connect the negative battery cable. Connect the negative battery cable back to the battery.

Checking for correct operation:

1. Start the engine and move the automatic transmission selector to all positions.
2. Make sure the selector lever moves smoothly and the vehicle responds appropriately.
3. Check for leaks or other problems.

Adviсe:

* Use a new gasket, if available, between the automatic transmission selector and the shifter.
* Tighten the mounting bolts with medium torque. Don’t overtighten them.
*If you are unsure of your skills, seek assistance from a qualified mechanic.
