Materials:

* New automatic transmission selector
* Set of socket wrenches
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* Rags

Instructions:

1. Ensure safety:

* Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake and remove the ignition key.

2. Remove the selector knob:

* Locate the plastic cover near the base of the selector knob.
* Remove the cover using a flathead screwdriver.
*Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the bolt under the cover.
* Pull the selector handle up to remove it.

3. Disconnect the electrical connectors:

* Under the selector knob, locate and disconnect the electrical connectors.
* Gently pull the latches to release the connectors.

4. Remove the automatic transmission selector:

* Using a socket wrench, remove the bolts that secure the automatic transmission selector to the steering column.
* Gently pull the automatic transmission selector down to remove it from the steering column.

5. Installing a new selector:

* Align the new automatic transmission selector with the steering column.
* Tighten the bolts that secure the selector.
* Tighten the bolts using a socket wrench.

6. Connect the electrical connectors:

* Insert the electrical connectors into the new automatic transmission selector.
* Make sure the connectors are securely snapped into place.

7. Install the selector knob:

* Place the selector knob onto the new selector rod.
* Install the bolt and tighten it using a Phillips head screwdriver.
* Install the plastic cover near the base of the selector knob.

8. Check:

* Start the engine and make sure that all automatic transmission selector functions operate properly.
* Check that all bolts and connectors are not tight.
