Replacement of machine electrics

Tools and materials:

* New wiring harness or individual wires
* Electrical tape
* Voltage tester
* Terminals
* Terminal crimper
*Insulating tape or heat shrink tubing
* Screwdriver
* Pliers
* Sandpaper

Safety:

* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before starting work.
* Use an electrical tester to check the voltage on the wires.
* Wear protective gloves and goggles.

Procedure:

1. Remove the old wiring harness:

* Locate and disconnect the connectors connecting the wiring harness to other vehicle components.
* Carefully remove the wiring harness from the engine compartment or passenger compartment.

2. Prepare a new wiring harness:

*If you are using individual wires, cut them to the desired length and attach the terminals.
* Strip the ends of the wires about 1 cm.

3. Connect the wires:

* Connect wires with the same color (or marking) to each other.
* Use terminals and crimp them with a crimper.
* Insulate connections with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.

4. Install the new wiring harness:

* Route the new wiring harness along the same path as the old one.
* Connect the connectors to the corresponding components.

5. Check the system:

* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Check the operation of the car’s electrical components, such as headlights, turn signals and air conditioning.
*Use an electrical tester to ensure all connections are functioning properly.

6. Final assembly:

* Secure the wiring harness using straps or zip ties.
* Clean and lubricate all terminals.
* Remove excess wires and cover any unused connectors with electrical tape.

Adviсe:

*If possible, use the original wiring harness as it will match your vehicle exactly.
*If you use separate wires, select wires with the correct gauge for each application.
*Do not overheat or bend wires during installation.
* Check all connections with an electrical tester to ensure they are secure.
