Materials:
* New automatic transmission selector bulb (W5W bulb is often used)
* Philips screwdriver or Phillips screwdriver
Steps:
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key. This will ensure your safety when working with electrical components.
2. Remove the center console control panel. To do this, locate the two Philips or Phillips screws located on the sides of the control panel. Unscrew them and carefully remove the panel by pulling it up.
3. Find the automatic transmission selector bulb socket. It is located on the back of the control panel, at the top. This is a black or gray cartridge with two contacts.
4. Disconnect the light bulb connector: Push the plastic tab on the connector and pull it up to disconnect it from the light bulb.
5. Take out the old light bulb. Gently pull the old light bulb or use pliers to remove it from the socket.
6. Insert a new light bulb. Insert the new light bulb into the socket so that the contacts match. Lightly press the bulb to lock it in place.
7. Connect the light bulb connector: Insert the light bulb connector into the contacts on the light bulb and snap it into place.
8. Reinstall the control panel. Carefully push the control panel into place and tighten the Philips screws or Phillips screws.
9. Turn on the ignition and check the operation of the light bulb. The automatic transmission selector light should light up, indicating the selector position.
Adviсe:
* Use a bulb with the same base and voltage as the original one.
* If the light does not light up, check that the connector is connected correctly.
* If necessary, replace other light bulbs located on the control panel of the center console.
