Required materials:

* New 3rd gear pressure sensor
* Set of keys
* Screwdriver
*Transmission fluid (optional)

Safety first:

* Ensure that the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Allow the engine and transmission to cool.

Replacement steps:

1. Determine the location of the sensor. The 3rd gear pressure sensor is usually located on the transmission housing near the pan. Locate the connector with two wires going to the sensor.

2. Disconnect the connector. Gently press the connector latch and pull it away from the sensor.

3. Unscrew the sensor. Use a socket wrench or wrench to unscrew the sensor.

4. Remove the sensor. Carefully pull the sensor out of the transmission housing. A small amount of transmission fluid may spill out.

5. Clean the surface. Clean the surface of the transmission housing where the sensor is installed of any dirt or residue.

6. Apply sealant. If necessary, apply a small amount of transmission sealant to the threads of the new sensor.

7. Install a new sensor. Screw the new sensor into place. Hand tighten it and then use a wrench to tighten it to the correct torque.

8. Connect the connector. Reconnect the connector to the sensor by pressing it until you hear a click.

9. Check the fluid level. If transmission fluid leaks out when removing the sensor, check the fluid level and add it if necessary.

10. Connect the negative terminal of the battery. Connect the negative terminal of the battery and start the engine.

11. Check the operation of the transmission. Shift into 3rd gear and check that it operates correctly. If there are any shifting problems, check the wiring and sensor.

Adviсe:

*If the sensor is faulty, it may cause problems shifting to 3rd gear.
*If you are unsure of this procedure, consult a qualified mechanic.
* Before removing the old sensor, make a mark on it and on the transmission housing to ensure proper installation of the new sensor.
