Required tools and materials:

* ATF gear oil
* Transmission filter
* Transmission pan gasket
* Sealant for pallet
* Set of tools for gearbox repair (keys, screwdrivers, pullers)
* Lift or jacks
* New gearbox (if necessary)

Repair procedure:

1. Preparing the car:

* Raise the car on a lift or place it on jacks.
* Remove the engine protective cover.

2. Draining transmission oil:

* Place a tray under the gearbox.
* Loosen the drain plug and drain the oil.
* Tighten the drain plug.

3. Removing the transmission pan:

* Unscrew the pallet mounting bolts.
* Carefully remove the transmission pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.
* Clean the pan and the adjacent surface of the gearbox from old sealant.

4. Filter replacement:

* Remove the old transmission filter.
* Install the new filter, observing the direction of oil flow.
*Apply sealant to the filter O-ring.

5. Installing the pan gasket:

* Apply new sealant to the surface of the pan and transmission.
* Install a new gasket.

6. Installation of the pallet:

* Reinstall the pan and tighten the mounting bolts.

7. Replacing or installing a new gearbox:

*If the transmission needs to be replaced, follow the separate instructions for removing and installing the transmission.
*If the transmission remains in place, skip this step.

8. Filling transmission oil:

* Remove the filler plug on the gearbox.
* Fill with new transmission oil according to the recommended volume and type.
* Tighten the filler plug.

9. Checking the oil level:

* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift the gear selector to all positions (for automatic transmissions) and return it to the park position.
* Check the oil level using the dipstick or level plug. Add oil if necessary.

10. Resetting the oil aging counter (for some models):

*If the vehicle is equipped with an oil aging counter, reset it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

11. Test drive:

* Carry out a test drive to check the operation of the transmission.
*Please note any faults or leaks.

Adviсe:

* Use only gear oil recommended by the manufacturer.
* Check the gearbox oil level regularly.
* Replace transmission oil and filter according to the maintenance schedule.
*If you suspect a transmission problem, contact a qualified mechanic.
