Tools and materials:
* Set of socket wrenches
* Phillips screwdriver
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. This is necessary for safety when working with electrical equipment.
2. Remove the gear shift lever cover. To do this, pry it up with a screwdriver or a special tool and remove it from its place.
3. Unscrew the bolts securing the gear shift mechanism. Typically these are four bolts located around the perimeter of the mechanism. Use the appropriate socket wrench.
4. Remove the plastic cover. Below it is the electronic part of the gear shift mechanism.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors. If necessary, use a slotted screwdriver or special tool to disconnect the connectors.
6. Unscrew the nut holding the selector. Use the appropriate socket wrench or socket wrench.
7. Remove the selector. To do this, pull it straight up with moderate force.
Adviсe:
* The selector may be a little hard to remove. Be careful not to damage the mechanism.
* Pay attention to the location of electrical wires and connectors. When installing, make sure they are connected correctly.
