Materials:
*Torx T25 screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* Plastic clip for disassembling the interior
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the gear selector housing:
* Remove the two plugs under the selector housing using a flathead screwdriver.
* Remove the two Torx T25 screws under the plugs.
* Carefully lift the selector housing and remove it.
3. Disconnect the connectors:
* Remove the clip holding the wiring harness connector.
* Lightly press the connector lock and disconnect it.
* Disconnect both solenoid connectors.
4. Remove the locking mechanism:
* Remove the two Torx T25 screws holding the locking mechanism in place.
* Carefully slide the mechanism down and remove it.
5. Unscrew the selector selector mounting nut:
*Use a flathead screwdriver to hold the nut in place.
* Unscrew the nut a few turns until it is loose.
6. Remove the selector:
*Grip the gear shift lever and pull it up and out.
* The selector should come out of the transmission housing easily.
Note:
* When installing a new selector, make sure that the mounting nut is tightened to a torque of 65 Nm.
*Before installing the gear selector housing, make sure that all connectors are securely connected.
