Tools and materials:

* Tool set (wrenches, ratchets, sockets)
* Car stands
* Brush with metal bristles
* Lubricator
* New transmission pan gasket (if necessary)
* New gear oil (if necessary)

Procedure:

1. Prepare the car

* Place the vehicle in park and apply the parking brake.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Raise the front of the car using a jack and install stands for safety.

2. Remove engine protection (if equipped)

* Locate the bolts that secure the engine guard to the frame.
* Loosen and remove the bolts.
* Remove the engine protection.

3. Drain transmission oil

* Locate the drain plug on the transmission pan.
* Place a pan to collect the oil.
* Carefully loosen the drain plug and allow the oil to drain.
*Wait until the oil has completely drained.

4. Disconnect electrical wiring

* Locate the electrical connectors on the transmission.
* Carefully disconnect the connectors.

5. Disconnect the drive wheel shaft

* Locate the bolts securing the drive wheel shaft to the wheel hub.
* Loosen and remove the bolts.
* Carefully remove the drive shaft from the hub.

6. Support the gearbox

* Place a transmission jack or support under the transmission.
*Adjust the height of the support so that it supports the gearbox.

7. Disconnect the gearbox from the engine

*Locate the bolts holding the transmission to the engine.
* Loosen and remove the bolts.
* Carefully separate the transmission from the engine.

8. Remove the gearbox

* Carefully lower the transmission from the transmission jack or support.
* Make sure that the gearbox does not touch other components.
* Carefully remove the transmission from under the vehicle.

9. Clean the mating surfaces

* Clean the engine and transmission mating surfaces using a wire brush.
* Remove all dirt and remnants of the old gasket.

10. Install a new gasket (if necessary)

* If the old gasket was damaged, install a new gasket on the engine mating surface.

11. Install the gearbox

* Carefully lift the gearbox into place.
* Align the transmission with the engine and drive wheel shaft mating.
* Slowly install the gearbox into place.

12. Tighten the transmission mounting bolts

* Install the transmission mounting bolts and tighten them.
* Tighten the bolts gradually and in a crisscross pattern to distribute the pressure evenly.

13. Connect the drive wheel shaft

* Insert the drive wheel shaft into the wheel hub.
* Install the drive wheel shaft mounting bolts and tighten them.

14. Connect the electrical wiring

* Connect the electrical connectors to the transmission.
* Make sure the connectors are fully connected and latched in place.

15. Fill with new transmission oil

* Determine the required amount of transmission oil for your car model.
* Pour new gear oil through the filler hole in the gearbox.
* Check the oil level using the dipstick and add oil if necessary.

16. Install engine protection (if equipped)

* Reinstall the engine protection.
* Install and tighten the guard mounting bolts.

17. Connect the negative terminal of the battery

*Connect the negative terminal of the battery to the battery terminal.

18. Lower the car

* Lower the car using a jack.
*Remove the stands.

19. Check the operation of the gearbox

* Start the engine and change gears.
* Make sure the gearbox operates smoothly and without any abnormal noise or vibration.

Note:

* Be careful when performing this procedure as the gearbox is heavy.
* It is recommended to use a transmission jack or support to support the transmission.
* After installing the gearbox, be sure to check the gear oil level and add if necessary.
