??:

1. Prepare the car. Set the car’s handbrake and jack it up to provide access to the underbody.

2. Remove the automatic transmission protective cover. Find the plastic cover that protects the automatic transmission pan and remove it by unscrewing the TORX screws.

3. Clean the automatic transmission pan. Thoroughly clean the automatic transmission pan from dirt and oil stains. This will prevent contaminants from entering the transmission when the pan is removed.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector. Carefully disconnect the electrical connector from the automatic transmission pan.

5. Loosen the pan bolts. Using a TORX wrench, loosen the bolts securing the transmission pan to the transmission housing. Do not remove the bolts completely at this stage.

6. Place a container under the tray. Place a large container under the transmission pan to catch any leaking oil.

7. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Carefully pry up the pan with a flathead screwdriver and begin to remove it, gently rocking it from side to side. Oil will begin to leak from the gearbox.

8. Remove the old automatic transmission filter. After removing the pan, you will see the old automatic transmission filter. Disconnect it from the pan and pull it out.

9. Install a new automatic transmission filter. Insert the new automatic transmission filter into the pan and secure it.

10. Apply sealant to the automatic transmission pan gasket. Apply a bead of transmission sealant to the new transmission pan gasket.

11. Install the automatic transmission pan gasket. Place a new gasket on the transmission pan and press it against the transmission housing.

12. Tighten the bolts. Tighten the transmission pan securing bolts to the specified torque (refer to your service manual for specific values).

13. Connect the electrical connector. Connect the electrical connector to the automatic transmission pan.

14. Install the automatic transmission protective cover. Install the automatic transmission protective cover and secure it with TORX screws.

15. Check the oil level. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check the oil level in the automatic transmission using a dipstick. If necessary, add oil to the recommended level.

Adviсe:

* Use a new gasket and automatic transmission filter each time you remove the automatic transmission pan.
* Clean the magnet on the automatic transmission pan to remove metal particles.
* Tighten the automatic transmission pan bolts to the specified torque to prevent leaks.
* Check the automatic transmission oil level after removing the pan to ensure that the transmission is properly filled.
