Required tools:

* 13 mm socket wrench
* Flat head screwdriver
*Plastic crowbar or flat head screwdriver

Procedure:

1. Preparation:

* Make sure the car is in park mode and the handbrake is on.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Removing the center console:

*Using a flathead screwdriver, pry up and remove the trim around the shift lever.
* Remove the two bolts using a 13mm socket wrench that secure the center console.
* Carefully remove the center console.

3. Removing the gear shift cover:

* Slide the shift lever boot up towards the console.
*Using a plastic crowbar or flat head screwdriver, remove the spring clip that secures the case.
* Remove the gear shift cover.

4. Disconnecting gear shift cables:

* Disconnect the shift cables by removing the bolts using a 13mm socket wrench.
* Remove the gearshift cables.

5. Removing the gear shift lever:

* Remove the bolts that secure the shift lever to the base.
* Carefully lift up the gearshift lever and remove it.

6. Installation:

* Install the shift lever in reverse order by performing steps 1-5 in reverse order.
* Make sure the shift cables are installed and tightened correctly.
* Check the gear shift operation after assembly.

Note:

* It may be necessary to move the vehicle into neutral to facilitate removal of the shift lever.
