Step 1: Remove the shift knob cap
* Press the button on the front of the automatic transmission handle.
* Pull the cap up and remove it.
Step 2: Remove the fixation ring
*Under the cap you will see a plastic retaining ring.
*Use a flathead screwdriver or thin object to pry the ring on one side and lift it up.
* With your free hand, pull the automatic transmission handle up and remove it from the locking ring.
Step 3: Disconnect the connector
* Under the automatic transmission handle you will see the wiring harness connector.
* Press the connector latch and disconnect it.
Step 4: Remove the automatic transmission handle
* Now the automatic transmission handle should be free.
*Hold it by the base and pull it up to remove it.
Adviсe:
* Before starting work, make sure that the car engine is turned off and the key is removed.
* Be careful when removing the retaining ring as it may be fragile.
* If you have difficulty removing the shift lever cap or retaining ring, do not use excessive force as this may cause damage.
