Step 1: Remove the leather pad
* Pry up the edges of the leather handle cover with a thin screwdriver or plastic spatula.
* Gently pull the cover up to remove it.
Step 2: Remove two screws
*Once the trim is removed you will see two Torx T20 screws holding the handle in place.
* Remove these screws.
Step 3: Separate the handle from the control box
*After removing the screws, pull the handle up slightly to separate it from the control box.
*Do not pull too hard as the handle is connected to the shift cable.
Step 4: Disconnect the shift cable
*Inspect the base of the handle and locate the small plastic clip that holds the shift cable in place.
*Press the lock and slide it to the side to release the cable.
* Carefully pull the cable out of the handle.
Step 5: Remove the handle
*After disconnecting the shift cable, you can completely remove the handle from the control unit.
Installation is carried out in reverse order:
1. Connect the shift cable to the handle.
2. Install the handle on the control unit.
3. Tighten the two T20 Torx screws.
4. Install the leather cover on the handle.
