Replacement of the rear support of the Chevrolet Aveo T300 automatic transmission

Tools and materials:

* Jack or lift
* Wrenches 10, 12, 15, 17 mm
* Flat blade screwdriver
* New rear automatic transmission support

Steps:

1. Secure your car. Place the vehicle in park, apply the parking brake and block the wheels with wheel chocks.

2. Raise the car. Raise the rear of the car using a jack or lift. Make sure the vehicle is securely secured.

3. Remove the engine protection. If so, remove the engine guard to gain access to the support.

4. Disconnect the battery. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery for safety.

5. Unscrew the support mounting bolts. Using a 15mm wrench, remove the two bolts securing the support to the cross member.

6. Remove the support. Slide the support back to remove it from its mountings.

7. Install a new support. Place the new support in place and insert the mounting bolts.

8. Tighten the mounting bolts. Tighten the mounting bolts to 50 Nm.

9. Connect the battery. Connect the negative cable to the battery.

10. Install engine protection. If removed, reinstall the engine protection.

11. Lower the vehicle. Carefully lower the vehicle to the ground and remove the wheel chocks.

Adviсe:

* It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission mount every 80,000 – 100,000 km.
*If you notice vibration, noise or shock when shifting gears, this may be a sign of a faulty mount.
*Always use new mounting bolts when replacing the support.
* After replacing the support, check the fluid level in the automatic transmission and add if necessary.
