Replacing the rear engine mount on a Lada Granta automatic transmission

Required tools and materials:

* Jack
* Stands
* Set of keys
* Extensions
* Torque wrench
* New rear engine mount

Instructions:

1. Ensure safety: Apply the parking brake and park the vehicle on a level surface.

2. Raise the car: Raise the rear of the car with a jack and support it with stands.

3. Remove the crankcase protection: If installed, remove the crankcase protection by unscrewing the mounting bolts.

4. Locate the rear engine mount: It is located under the transmission.

5. Loosen the mounting bolts: Loosen the engine mounting bolts using a wrench.

Note: Do not unscrew the bolts completely.

6. Support the Transmission: Use a jack or stand to lightly support the transmission on the side where the cradle is located.

7. Unscrew the mounting bolts: Unscrew the mounting bolts of the engine mount and remove it.

8. Clean the seat: Clean the seat on the gearbox and on the pad from dirt and debris.

9. Install a new mount: Install the new rear engine mount into the seat.

10. Tighten the mounting bolts: Tighten the engine mount mounting bolts to 60 Nm using a torque wrench.

11. Lower the vehicle: Lower the vehicle from the jack and remove the jack stands.

12. Tighten the sump guard bolts: If you removed the sump guard, reinstall it and tighten the bolts.

Adviсe:

*Use a good quality new engine mount.
* Tighten the mounting bolts in the correct sequence and to the specified torque.
* Check the condition of other engine mounts when replacing the rear one.
* After installing a new engine mount, it is recommended to start the engine and check its operation for vibrations.
