Required tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission oil meeting Land Rover specifications (usually 8+ liters)
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Sealant for automatic transmission pan
* Funnel for filling oil
* Keys or sockets for unscrewing the pan and oil filter
* Gloves
* Rags or paper towels
* Torque wrench (optional)

Instructions for changing automatic transmission oil in Range Rover Vogue:

1. Safety First: Park the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake. Allow the engine and transmission to cool.

2. Raise the vehicle: Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack or lift to gain access to the transmission pan.

3. Remove the crankcase protection: If installed, remove the crankcase protection to gain access to the automatic transmission pan.

4. Drain the old oil: Place a container under the drain hole of the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the old oil into a container.

5. Replace the oil filter: Locate the automatic transmission oil filter, which is usually located near the drain hole. Unscrew the filter and replace it with a new one.

6. Clean the automatic transmission pan: Remove the automatic transmission pan by unscrewing the bolts around the perimeter. Thoroughly clean the pan and gasket of old oil and debris.

7. Install new pan gasket: Apply sealant around the outer edge of the new pan gasket. Install the gasket on the automatic transmission pan and press it.

8. Install the automatic transmission pan: Place the pan in place and tighten the bolts with a torque wrench to the torque specified in the owner’s manual.

9. Fill with new oil: Using a funnel, fill the automatic transmission with new oil to the level indicated on the dipstick.

10. Check the oil level: Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick and add if necessary.

11. Reset the service meter: If your vehicle is equipped with a service meter display, reset it after changing the automatic transmission oil by following the instructions in your owner’s manual.
